A three-year-old girl who had been stuck inside a borewell in Bihar’s Munger since Tuesday, 31 July, has finally been rescued and admitted to Sadar Hospital , reported ANI.
Rescue operations were succesfully completed to save the girl who was stuck inside the 110-feet deep borewell.
The DIG of Munger, Jitendra Mishra, told ANI that the girl is safe.
“SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) team has dug up to 40 feet. The girl is safe,” he told ANI.
The girl, named Sanno, had slipped into a 110-feet-deep under-construction borewell in the Murgiachak area of Munger on Tuesday afternoon, ANI reported.
All arrangements were made to provide oxygen to the minor girl stuck inside, Sanjeev Kumar, an official of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), told the media. The rescue team also comprised of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) officials. Additionally, the team had placed rods in the borewell to prevent the girl from falling further down the pit.
In March this year, a four-year-old boy was rescued from a 33-foot borewell after a 35-hour rescue mission.
Last December, a three-year-old girl was rescued in Orissa's Angul district after she fell into an uncovered borewell in the area.
