Police, on Sunday, made one arrest in connection with the Gopalganj hooch tragedy in Bihar, which has claimed the lives of 16 people so far. 15 policemen had earlier been suspended for ‘dereliction of duty.’
Santosh Kumar took over as the new OC of the police station.
The FSL report is yet to reveal the exact cause of the tragedy after the post-mortem report failed to link the tragedy conclusively to spurious liquor.
Regardless of this, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has claimed that the perpetrators would have to face strict action under the new stringent liquor law.
