Five workers were killed and several others injured after a boiler exploded in Sasa Musa sugar mill in Bihar’s Gopalganj on the morning of Thursday, 21 December.
The owner of the mill has been arrested. According to a report by Firstpost, several injured have suffered 90 percent burn injuries. The death toll is expected to rise.
The reason for the blast is yet to be ascertained. Firstpost quoted early reports as suggesting that over-heating of the boiler could have caused the explosion.
