Rahul Mukerjea doesn’t believe his father Peter is entirely innocent in the Sheena Bora murder case.
While Rahul has, all this while, pleaded that the former media tycoon is innocent, his statement to the CBI accessed by Mumbai Mirror, however, says something else.
His statements, as reported by Mumbai Mirror, make it evident that Peter did not approve of Rahul’s relationship with Sheena and that he tried very hard to convince Rahul that Sheena was alive.
Rahul’s statement which was recorded in November, says both Indrani and Peter had told him that Sheena had gone to the US and did not want to keep in touch. Following this, Rahul pointed out that Sheena’s passport was with him but he was told that Bora had left with another passport.
Peter Mukerjea’s son also told the CBI about a conversation with Peter in which Peter told him he had spoken to Bora over the phone.
Rahul also told the CBI that in 2009 Sheena had shown him a will for a flat in Delhi “purportedly executed by Peter Mukerjea.” But Rahul noticed that Peter’s signatures on the will were forged and so, decided to alert him. But Peter did not move a finger and eventually the apartment was sold without Bora’s knowledge.
The charge sheet reads:
Mumbai Mirror also reports that the charge sheet quotes a mail from Peter to Sheena where he accused her of dragging Rahul into her personal matters and distancing him from the family.
Peter, Indrani, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna, and her driver Shyamvar Rai are all in judicial custody in connection with Bora’s murder.
