M Girish, a 29-year-old tempo traveller driver in Bengaluru now has one of his ear lobes missing, after another driver allegedly bit it off last Friday.

Girish, who was ferrying employees of a BPO from the Electronic city on Friday night was allegedly attacked by 26-year-old Venkatesh, another tempo traveller driver working in the same company.

Venkatesh is reported to have blocked Girish’s vehicle, pulled him out, bit off his ear lobe, chewed and swallowed it. According to the police, Venkatesh is still absconding.

Praveen Kumar reports for Bangalore Mirror that Venkatesh constantly prevented Girish’s vehicle from overtaking his, while both were on their way to Hosur road to drop off the employees.

When trying to descend an elevated road, Girish’s vehicle bumped into Venkatesh’s vehicle, after which the former was pulled out of the vehicle.

Girish told Bangalore Mirror that he was bitten on his shoulder that the wound has turned septic. He was taken to the hospital by one of the employees, where he underwent a surgery.

Venkatesh, who drove the vehicle for quite some time after the incident, forced the employees to get off the vehicle and has since been absconding. As per the instruction of the company, Girish filed a police complaint.

The company has assured termination of Venkatesh, who is an outsourced driver working with the company for the last 45 days, says the report.
