The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has summoned the Assistant Inspector General of CBI and Deputy Commissioner of Police in connection with the suicide of tainted senior government official BK Bansal and his son allegedly due to harassment by a few officials.
DCW had asked the Delhi Police if an FIR has been filed against those named in the suicide note of senior bureaucrat BK Bansal and also pulled up the CBI for 'unsatisfactory' response to a notice issued to them.
“However, till date no response was received, neither any action was taken on the suicide note. Therefore, the AIG, CBI has been summoned to appear before the panel and provide the detailed reply,” the summon read.
Two months after his wife Satyabala and Neha committed suicide, Bansal, former Director General Corporate Affairs, and his son Yogesh had also allegedly hanged themselves on 27 September.
In his suicide note, Bansal had alleged that a CBI DIG, two women officers and a "fat" havildar of the agency had tortured his wife and daughter to the extent that they ended their lives soon after his arrest on corruption charges in July.
