China has urged India and Pakistan to “exercise restraint” hours after news first broke of India carrying out an air strike in Balakot in Pakistan, AFP reported. The MEA released an official statement saying the strike had taken out a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) training camp in Balakot.
The air strike comes days after the 14 February terrorist attack in Pulwama that killed 40 CRPF personnel and was soon claimed by JeM.
China had issued a similar statement five days after that attack, urging restraint.
