From UK to Pakistan - Tributes Pour in from All Over for Vajpayee

Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee left an indelible mark on both Indian and Global politics. While India prepares to give him a funeral, various other nations have also joined in the mourning. From the United States of America to Pakistan - a number of countries have sent their tributes for Vajpayee.
The tricolour will also fly at half mast during Vajpayee’s funeral, in all Indian missions abroad.

The British High Commissioner to India, Dominic Asquith, said that Vajpayee will be remembered as one of India’s greatest leaders.
We are saddened by the passing of former PM of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee. We will remember him as one of India’s greatest leaders. Shri Vajpayee was much respected in the UK as a statesman par excellence.

Would Refer to Us as “Natural Allies:” US Embassy in India
Condoling the former prime minister’s death, the US Embassy in New Delhi issued a statement saying:
The United States grieves with India on the loss of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He will be remembered for his immense contribution in bolstering US-India relations. During his tenure, Prime Minister Vajpayee advocated for a robust partnership with the United States, referring to us as “natural allies.” The US Mission in India extends our deepest condolences to the family of former Prime Minister Vajpayee and the citizens of India.

Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina expressed “deep shock” at the demise of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and said that it was a day of great sadness for the people of Bangladesh. She also said that Bangladesh prays for eternal peace for his soul.

Vajpayee Was a Tall Political Personality of the Subcontinent: Pakistan’s PM Designate Imran Khan
Extending “heartfelt condolences to his family and to Govt and people of India,” the Pakistan Government talked about Vajpayee’s significant contribution to Indo-Pak relationship.
He was a renowned statesman who contributed to bringing a change in Indo-Pak relations and remained a key supporter of SAARC and regional cooperation for development. Pakistan Govt and people extend their heartfelt condolences to his family and to Govt and people of India.
Pakistan’s PM-designate Imran Khan also stated that his attempts for the betterment of Indo-Pak relationship will always be remembered.
