Anand Parbat Murder: Retracing the Horrifying Attack on Meenakshi

On July 17, Meenakshi was stabbed to death by two men. The two accused, Jaiprakash and Ajay, have been arrested. The Quint went to gulli no 5 where the incident took place, spoke with Meenakshi’s family and residents of the area to establish the sequence of events.

Here’s what really happened.

In the narrow, unlit bylanes of Anand Parbat, where the police is almost never seen, there is no one to deter criminal elements like Jaiprakash and Ajay. Once targeted, 19-year-old Meenakshi had no chance of survival.
