Mahindra group chairperson Anand Mahindra, on Tuesday 2 April called out the hypocrisy of US's National Aeronautical Space Agency (NASA), after NASA had called India's successful test of the A-SAT weapon system a 'terrible thing'.
In a tweet, Mahindra said that NASA chief Jim Bridenstine's statement is a case of 'the pot calling the kettle black'.
On Monday, 1 April NASA administrator Bridenstine said that India's move to destroy a defunct satellite a 'terrible thing' as it left 400 pieces of debris in space. Bridenstine had said that the debris has put the astronauts aboard the Internation Space Station (ISS) under massive risk.
Anand Mahindra, in his tweet said that this is an audacious statement from a nation that created most of the space debris over the decades.
