Billionaire Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani held yet another special event to commemorate son Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding, this time by hosting a function for members of the armed forces and security personnel.
The event, which was held on Tuesday, 12 March at the newly-opened Dhirubhai Ambani Square in Mumbai had in its attendance, thousands of members of the Army, Navy, paramilitary forces, Mumbai Police and Railway Protection Force, as well as their families, NDTV reported.
Speaking to the press, Nita Ambani was reported to have said:
Nita Ambani is said to have made the arrangements for a special musical fountain show for her guests from the armed forces, and their families. The fountain show was called ‘Ananta Prem’, and depicted Lord Krishna's historic ‘Raas Leela’ dance.
“We as a family very much identify with the city's socio-cultural fabric and have deep respect and gratitude for the people who make it function, particularly our police, armed forces and city workers,” Nita Ambani said, NDTV reported.
Akash and Shloka, the daughter of diamantaire Russell Mehta, tied the knot in a star-studded affair on Saturday, 9 March. Bollywood A-listers Shahrukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Amitabh Bachchan, were among the many celebrities who attended the event.
