After four Dalit youngsters were beaten up in Una, Gujarat for allegedly skinning a cow, two Dalit youths were thrashed and urinated upon in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district for allegedly stealing a motorcycle.
The attackers were led by the husband of an elected woman panchayat representative. An FIR has been lodged in the case.

A six-year-old girl was kidnapped and buried alive in a farm less than a kilometer away from her home in Agra.
The kidnapper has not been identified yet but an FIR has been lodged under section 364 (Kidnapping or abducting in order to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

A 38-year-old woman in Matunga, Mumbai allegedly strangled her 70-year-old mother-in-law to death before killing herself on Thursday morning, Shivaji Park police said.
A case of murder has been registered against the woman, under section 302 of the IPC.

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by four men near Gondia railway station in Maharashtra.
Two men, Nitesh Ramdas Bramhankar (23) and Prashant Motghare (24), were arrested by the police following the girl’s complaint. The other two are still at large.

A former BSF jawan was on Friday arrested by Delhi Police’s Crime Branch in connection with the murder of a businessman four years ago.
The accused, Sunil Kumar, 34, had shot dead Rajender Singh, a money changer and lender in Hoshiyarpur, along with his associates.

A woman, identified as Afsana, was on Friday arrested for her alleged involvement in the murder of a 52-year-old councillor, the police confirmed.
The councillor was mercilessly battered to death by around four persons in Ghaziabad, they added.
However, the motive for the crime is not clear yet. While Afsana has been arrested, others are still absconding.

Two persons, identified as Laveen Kumar and Sandeep, were taken into custody, he said.

Two men in Jharkhand were on Friday arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for allegedly forging the signature of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to get undue advantage.
They have been remanded in police custody till 27 July.
The accused were produced before the chief metropolitan magistrate in a Saket Court in Delhi on Friday.

A 26-year-old man was arrested in Hyderabad for deceiving people by promising to give them information about their missing relatives.
S Shiva Kumar allegedly cheated around 70 people all across the country, the officers of Commissioner’s Task Force (West Zone) said.
According to a police release, Kumar used to obtain phone numbers of relatives from the ‘missing person’ posters pasted on the walls of public buildings or at railway stations.
He would then call them and demand money in return for providing information about the missing people’s whereabouts.
