In Madhya Pradesh, Furkan Qureshi, a 16-year-old boy in Neemuch died due to cardiac arrest while continuously playing mobile game PUBG on Tuesday, 28 May. Dr Ashok Jain,Cardiologist says, "He was brought without pulse. We tried to resuscitate him but we couldn't."
His father, Harun Rashid Qureshi said that he was agitating and shouting, and then he collapsed on the floor while playing PUBG game on his mobile phone.
The incident took place while Furkan and his family were visiting a relative for a function. Fiza, Furkan's sister said that his brother kept shouting, "Carry out the blast!" thereafter which he removed his earphones, threw his mobile phone and cried.
Jain also added that the excitement that one goes through while playing the video game probably caused a surge in adrenaline causing tachycardia (increased heart rate) and cardiac arrest.
