Jhanvi Behal, the 15-year-old activist who received a letter of appreciation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for her contribution to ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ on Sunday challenged JNU students’ union president Kanhaiya Kumar to an open debate on freedom of expression.

What Kanhaiya ji said about Prime Minister Modi can’t be appreciated at all. Instead of criticising the Prime Minister, he should have said something on those who raised anti-national slogans inside the campus.
Jhanvi Behal

Jhanvi seemed angry about what has happened on JNU campus in the name freedom of expression and said it can’t be tolerated by any Indian.

Would have been better if he had spoken against those ‘Deshdrohis’ who raised ‘anti-national’ slogans rather than PM Modi. I’m ready to debate wherever and whenever he (Kanhaiya Kumar) wants.

Her comments were backed by many on Twitter.
