IIT Guwahati is set to conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering in February 2018.
Candidates interested in pursuing a masters and direct doctoral programmes in engineering, technology, architecture and other branches of science at IITs across the country already need to appear for the GATE and clear the exam.
According to Indian Express, candidates can apply for the exams on the official website, gate.iitg.ac.in
The examination consists of 65 questions in two sections. The paper carries 100 marks, and is to be completed in three hours. The questions will in both multiple-choice format as well as fill in the blanks format. While MCQs will carry negative marking for wrong answers, the fill in the blanks type questions will not have any negative marking associated.
The questions will be in general aptitude (15 marks), engineering mathematics (10-13 marks) and core engineering area chosen by the candidate.
