The Vyapam scam is getting bigger and murkier with every passing day. Two key accused in this scam, Pankaj Trivedi and Nitin Mohindra, have now accused Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav of having pitched for his candidates to be recruited as forest officers. Trivedi and Mohindra are both former Vyapam officials.
In an exclusive breakthrough, NDTV has accessed files in computers of officials which revealed Yadav’s name. Noted lawyer Indira Jaisingh has termed this as clinching evidence, and is of the opinion that the Governor should be probed.
Yadav has still not resigned and refuses to do so, though he has been named as a primary accused by the CBI.
