Toll of Indians Killed in September 11 Hajj Stampede Rises to 74

The number of Indians killed in the stampede during the annual pilgrimage of Hajj in the holy city of Mecca has risen to 74 from the earlier 45 while 78 remain missing.

The incident, which occurred during the last ritual of the pilgrimage, has claimed 769 lives and left 934 people injured from all over the world.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has established emergency lines at the Indian embassy in Jeddah.

The embassy has also released the names of some of the victims of the biggest tragedy at the Hajj so far.
