  • The Bombay High Court on Wednesday gave interim protection from arrest to two businessmen, Sailesh Mehta and Dhanpat Seth, of Prime Developers. They are alleged associates of the former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, in a money-laundering case. The case is related to the construction of the new Maharashtra Sadan in Delhi.

  • On Tuesday, the High Court had given similar relief to seven others in connection with the cases registered against Bhujbal who is currently in jail.

  • Earlier on Wednesday, the Supreme Court refused to stay a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Pankaj Bhujbal, son of Chaggan Bhujbal.

  • The Enforcement Directorate has filed two FIRs against Bhujbal and others under the anti-money laundering laws.
