Gurdaspur Superintendent of Police Salwinder Singh has been in the spotlight following his alleged abduction by terrorists who made off in his SUV, before attacking the Pathankot air force base. His responses to questions by officials have been sketchy and unconvincing, and have raised suspicions.
Singh is also facing an inquiry following complaints by five women constables who have levelled charges of sexual harassment against him. They alleged that until recently, Singh was “acting too familiar” and had been “passing cheap remarks”.
SP Singh maintains that he is innocent and is being framed by people with “vested interests.”
