• Senior journalist Rajdev Ranjan was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Siwan, Bihar on Friday night.
  
• He was the Patna bureau chief of Hindi newspaper Hindustan.
  
• He was shot point-blank by motorbike-borne assailants in his neck and head, according to NDTV.
  
• He had an experience of around 24 years in the industry, according to Live Hindustan.
  
• The number of assailants is unidentified even as the police are investigating the matter.
