ML Sharma, former CBI special director, will complete the investigation regarding former CBI Director Ranjit Sinha meeting coal scam accused within three months of the initial investigation commencement.
A Supreme Court bench comprising Justice Madan B Lokur, Justice Kurian Joseph and Justice AK Sikri, has asked CBI to arrange accommodation and transport for ML Sharma within a week.
The court has granted permission to ML Sharma to summon anyone for inquiry.
Prashant Bhushan, a former AAP member and prominent lawyer had a record of all the visits made to Ranjit Sinha’s official residence.
The next hearing in the coal scam proceedings will be held on November 16.
Incidentally, Jharkhand CM Madhu Koda, approached Supreme Court to dismiss First Information Reports against him. The court will hear his case on September 21, Monday.
