The bodies of six Indians, out of the seven that went missing after the Saudi air strikes in Yemen, have been recovered.

This is the first official confirmation about the fate of the missing Indians. One of them is still missing.

Two boats, ‘Mustafa’ and ‘Asmar’, carrying a total of 21 Indian nationals came under aerial attack on 8th September. Following the incident, 14 were rescued and seven were initially reported as missing by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

It is now regrettably informed that late at night on 10 September, the bodies of 6 of the missing persons present on the 2 boats were recovered and were brought to the Military Hospital. The families of the deceased have been informed, and their verbal consent has been taken for appropriate funeral rites to be performed today in Hodeidah as per religious practices.
— MEA Statement

Of the remaining 15 Indians on the two boats, 14 are safe in Hodeidah, and of these 4 are undergoing treatment in a local hospital, the MEA confirmed.
