Salman Khan has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court stating that the police is trying to falsely implicate him in the 2002 hit and run case.
Salman Khan in his affidavit to SC stated:
The widow of the pavement-dweller Shaikh Noorulla Shafik who was crushed to death by Salman Khan’s SUV in 2002 and her son, a labourer, had moved the Supreme Court as the “forgotten victims” of his alleged crime.
The Supreme Court in Februrary dismissed their petition seeking a probe into whether Salman Khan and his family used money to secure the actor’s acquittal in the 2002 hit and run case, terming the plea a “wild allegation without any basis.”
Shafik’s widow, Begumjaha Haroon Khan, and son Firoz Shaikh, represented by SC advocate Vipin Nair, said that as victims, they were “an integral part of the justice delivery system and that they are not to be forgotten and left high and dry.”
