Delhi Police filed a chargesheet in a court against TERI Executive Vice Chairman RK Pachauri on Tuesday, for allegedly sexually harassing and outraging the modesty of a former woman colleague.
Pachauri has also been accused of stalking and criminally intimidating the victim with certain gestures or acts intended to insult her modesty.
The charge sheet running into over 1400 pages was filed in the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Shivani Chauhan who fixed it for consideration on 23 April.
The police have also arrayed 23 prosecution witnesses, many of whom are present and former employees of The Energy Research Institute (TERI). Police sources have also said that call records, text messages and victim testimonies have been placed as evidence.
Pachauri has been accused of committing offences punishable under sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354 A (sexual harassment), 354 D (stalking), 506(criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of IPC.
