Tamil Nadu police has detained one person in the incident that took place during an event organised for Sri Lankan refugees, reports The Hindu.

According to a report by The Times of India, the man was identified as Prabhakar, 35, of Pudukottai, Tamil Nadu.

Prabhakar is suspected to be a member of an organisation established in reaction to the killing of LTTE chief Prabhakaran in 2009, May-17 Iyakkam, according to the report.
