  • Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly has sought an apology from President Barack Obama for the attack deep inside the Balochistan province.

  • The assembly unanimously adopted a resolution against the US drone strike – that killed Afghan Taliban chief Mullah Akhtar Mansour – calling it an attack on the country’s integrity and sovereignty, The News International reported.

  • The resolution was tabled by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) lawmaker Fakhr Alam Wazir and unanimously passed by the House.

  • It also asked the federal government to lodge strong protest at diplomatic level. Pakistan has lodged a protest with the US.
