Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly has sought an apology from President Barack Obama for the attack deep inside the Balochistan province.
The assembly unanimously adopted a resolution against the US drone strike – that killed Afghan Taliban chief Mullah Akhtar Mansour – calling it an attack on the country’s integrity and sovereignty, The News International reported.
The resolution was tabled by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) lawmaker Fakhr Alam Wazir and unanimously passed by the House.
It also asked the federal government to lodge strong protest at diplomatic level. Pakistan has lodged a protest with the US.
