An AC mechanic, who was critically injured after being hit by a speeding BMW in Noida, died at Safdarjung hospital on Saturday night, police said.
The driver of the BMW, Vinod who is a property dealer by profession, is still absconding. The car rammed into three motorcycles near the Adobe crossing, causing injuries to six riders.
According to media reports, after the accident when locals surrounded the BMW and Vinod, the driver took out a gun and threatened them. The other car, with which the BMW was allegedly racing, stopped, picked up Vinod, and sped away.
Gulfan Ali was rushed from a hospital in Noida to Safdarjung hospital in Delhi where he was declared brought dead. The condition of the other injured is stable, police have said
Four of the injured were admitted to a hospital. This is the second case of a hit-and-run this month. Earlier, a 32-year-old marketing executive was mowed down by a speeding Mercedes sedan in Delhi’s Civil Lines area which was allegedly being driven by a juvenile.
