Ahead of the final phase of polling in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday is scheduled to address three rallies in Purnia, Forbesganj and Darbhanga. Addressing the people of Purnia, Modi launched a strongly-worded attack on the leaders of the Grand Alliance yet again.
Modi raked up the 1984 Sikh riots and said that Congress leaders talking about tolerance is nothing but drama. Modi’s comments come as Congress president and senior party leaders are expected to meet President Pranab Mukherjee to discuss rising ‘intolerance’ in the country.
Modi also focussed on Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s promises of a corruption and crime-free state. The Prime Minister attacked Nitish and RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and accused them of breaking the promises made to the people of Bihar.
Modi also raked up “jungle raj” during the years that Lalu and Nitish-led governments ruled the state. He said that many women were now openly supporting the BJP because they are tired of rising crimes in Bihar.
