Mob Runs Riot As 11 Cows Die In An Overturned Truck in UP

It is suspected that the cows were being smuggled. Police is probing the matter.

• A truck travelling from Agra carrying cows overturned, killing 11 of them and injuring 12 on Thursday.
  

• The incident took a turn for the worse when an infuriated mob set the truck ablaze and damaged two police vehicles.
  

• Uttar Police Station Inspector Shashikant Sharma said that the driver and other occupants of the truck managed to flee from the spot. It is suspected that they may have been cattle smugglers. He added that police is probing the matter.
