The BSF headquarters has been taking decisions for their newly-wed jawans at the border that’ll make them happier and concentrate on duty better. In a bid to increase their facilities and provide the jawans with a more homely environment, The Times of Indiareports that the BSF headquarters is drawing out a plan to allow jawans to live with their wives.
The announcement was made two days ago by the BSF DG, KK Sharma. He added that being separated from their family affects the work of the jawans.
This very demand has been lingering for quite some time as newly-married jawans are tied up with their duties and have to join soon after the marriage.

Right Now Only New-Married Jawans to Stay With Wives
IG Meghwal said the new rule, which is in its initial phase, will allow the newly-wed jawans to stay with their wives for one year at the Border Outposts (BOPs).
For this, works are underway to increasing housing facilities for the beneficiary jawans at the barracks and quarters at the BOPs. Living with the family will certainly increase efficiency of the soldiers. The sense of alienation, which they feel while being away from their families, would be eliminated. Such jawans will lead tension free life.
