Hema Malini Asserts Right on Mumbai Land; Promises Payment

RTI activist Anil Galgali had claimed that the actress acquired the land in Andheri worth crores for Rs 70,000.

Actress-turned-politician, Hema Malini, asserted her “right” over a piece of land in Mumbai’s Andheri region, on Monday, after struggling to get possession for 20 years to open a dance class.

I have been trying to get this land for the last 20 years. I will do everything according to the rules of the government.

Malini has said that she will pay the price amount according to government rules when she is given the ownership of the land.

A Member of Parliament from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh – the actress has also been assigned a theatre in her constituency.

However, she has denied any political influence in the matter of both the dance academies – Mumbai and Mathura.

It is necessary to encourage Indian culture, I want to impart that. Mumbai and the whole of Maharashtra will be very proud to have such a classical dance institute.

Malini came in public eye after Right to Information activist Anil Galgali had claimed that the actress acquired the land in Andheri worth crores for Rs 70,000.
