On Monday, the Cabinet cleared four legislations supporting Goods and Services Tax (GST).
The legislations approved are Compensation Law, the Central-GST (C-GST), Integrated-GST (I-GST) and Union Territory-GST (UT-GST). They will be introduced in the Parliament this week as money bills.
The new tax, which is the biggest tax reform since Independence, is expected to boost economic growth and broaden the revenue base.
