The Goa judge has acquitted the two men, who were accused of raping and murdering British teenager Scarlett Keeling in 2008.
Keeling was raped and murdered in 2008 on Goa’s Anjuna beach.
Before the verdict on Friday, Keeling’s mother said she had faith in the CBI, who she thinks did a good job in handling the case.
Fifteen-year-old Keeling was raped and murdered in the custody of her 25-year-old tour guide, as the rest of her family had gone sightseeing.
Keeling’s mother, Fiona Mackeown, who was in India for the verdict said:
She said that she was keen on scrutinising the judgement to understand why the judges acquitted the two accused.
Despite being beaten down, she vowed to not give up on her fight for justice.
