He has been booked over a video circulating on social media showing his group’s members thrashing people.

- On Monday, the Patiala Police lodged an FIR against the Gau Rakshak Dal Chief Satish Kumar relating to a video which shows members of the group beating up people in the name of cow protection.
- Initial reports state that Kumar features in the video along with other group members. He is yet to be arrested.
- This comes a day after PM Narendra Modi addressed cow vigilantes, calling them “anti-social elements” of society.
