Eve-Teasers Shoot Young Woman After She Fights Back
Woman shot dead for fighting eve-teasers, sister alleges police negligence.

A woman, working as a domestic help in Sitapur, UP, was shot dead by two men, who were allegedly eve-teasing her.
The victim and her sister were on their way back home from work when two men on bikes started troubling them. On fighting back, the men allegedly shot her and fled. While her sister was injured in the attack, the woman died on the spot.
The police has sent the body for postmortem and is probing the matter. However, the sister of the deceased alleged negligence on the part of the police as the two sisters had filed a complaint about the accused and a few others for eve-teasing them only a couple of months ago. The police, she says, did not do anything about it.
Officials are seeking action against the policemen responsible for the negligence.
