The Republican party’s poster boy (NOT) Donald J Trump, in response to a reporter’s question, recently remarked that he “would certainly implement” a database to monitor Muslims.
He also said he would not rule out a “special form of identification, noting their religion.”
What Trump was trying to say was that each Muslim residing in the United States should carry an identity card by virtue of their faith.
What transpired after that statement, will in its own way, restore your faith in well, faith.
In response to Trump’s proposal, a diplomat, a US Army Marine, a Sheriff, several lawyers, Ivy Leaguers, journalists and social workers posted pictures of their identity cards. There was also a person who posted a certificate which belonged to his grandfather, a NASA employee who worked on the launch of Apollo 11.
We’re just going to leave the tweets for you to see, because Mr. Trump probably already has.
