An old building collapsed in Surat, Gujarat on 6 May, according to ANI. One casualty has been reported so far.
Two people have been injured while three have been rescued.
This the third building collapse to have taken place in the last ten days. On 30 April, a three-storey building collapsed in Kamathipura, Mumbai. The building caved in killing five people and injuring three.
A total of eight people were rescued from under the debris. Of this, five succumbed to injuries soon after.
Another collapse to have taken place over the last couple of days includes an old building in the Lahori Gate area of Old Delhi. The incident took place on 28 April. It was an old residential building which collapsed killing one and injuring several others.
