Non-Congress Alliance: Assam and Three Other NE States in Talks
The alliance will be called the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) and it will be a part of the NDA.

The Chief Ministers of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Sikkim met the national president of the BJP, Amit Shah on Tuesday and proposed that they join an alliance of non-Congress parties in the North East.
The alliance will be called the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) and it will be a part of the NDA, of which Himanta Biswa Sharma, the Governor of Assam has been declared convener.
The NEDA’s objective will be all-round development of North East and better co-ordination among states in the region and the Central Government.
