23-Year-Old Dhaka Terror Suspect Arrested in Burdwan

A 23 year old has been detained in connection with the Dhaka terror attack. He was arrested in Burdwan railway station in West Bengal on Monday evening. According to a Hindustan Times report, he was interrogated through the night on Monday. The man is fluent in seven to eight languages.

The terror suspect was travelling to Labhpur in Birbhum district and he boarded the Viswabharati Fast Passenger train from Howrah station. Sleuths followed the man from Howrah.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Intelligence Bureau have been informed about the arrest

West Bengal has been on high alert since the Dhaka terror attack and security has been tightened on the India-Bangladesh border, while all security and intelligence agencies, police and Border Security Force has been put on high alert.

Burdwan district appeared on the terror map in October 2014 when two suspected Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) terrorists were killed at a rented house in Khagragarh locality while making IEDs.
