The state of Madhya Pradesh has come clean, in the literal sense of the term. The ‘Swachh Survekshan-2017’ survey results announced by Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu declared that Indore is the cleanest city in India, with Bhopal at the second position in the cleanliness rankings of 434 cities.
The survey ranked Gonda in Uttar Pradesh the dirtiest city and Bhusawal in Maharashtra stands second-last in the rankings.
Uttar Pradesh accounted for half of the bottom 50 cities in the cleanliness rankings.
