The final results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), (CDS I) 2018 examination have been declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on its official website upsc.gov.in.
A total of 172 (130+42) candidates have made it to the next round after clearing the written test and interviews held by the Services Selection Board under the Ministry of Defence.
The shortlisted candidates are required to report to the officers training academy in Chennai for Short Services Commission Course (SSC) from April 2019.
The list also includes the names of the candidates who were recommended earlier on the basis of the results of the same examination for admission to Indian Military Academy in Dehradun, Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy in Hyderabad.
The number of vacancies for men is 225 and for women (in Non-Technical stream) is 12, according to the official notification.
The shortlisted candidates are advised to get their certificates of date of birth and educational qualification verified.
However, marks of the candidates will be available within 15 days from the date of declaration of final results, for 30 days, the notification said.
