Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) declared its first cut-off list on 18 June. While the cut-off for BCom (Honours) program is 97.75 percent, cut-off for BA (Honours) Economics is 98.5 percent.
The first cut-off for both the courses was 97.75 percent in 2017, in 2016 the cut-off for BCom Honours was 98 percent while for BA Economics (Honours), the figure stood at 98.25 percent.
SRCC is among top-notch colleges in India and is the preferred destination for students from commerce stream. Some of the famous alumni from the college include Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Union Minister and BJP leader Vijay Goel, Yes Bank CEO Rana Kapoor, and Chief Global Strategist at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Ruchir Sharma.
Cut-offs for SRCC have usually hovered above 96 percent in the last few years with the college having an impressive track record of placements. After CBSE declared results for Class 12 on 28 May, education experts The Quint spoke to had said that cut-offs for DU might spike owing to the large number of students scoring above 90 percent. As many as 40,000 students secured more than 95 percent in Class 12 this year with experts suggesting that this is a result of the board’s moderation policy.
