CBSE Board Exam Results 2022 Live News Updates: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday, 22 July, announced the results for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations.
While the pass percentage for class 10 exams stood at 94.40 percent, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated and wished the students a "fruitful academic journey ahead."
Class 10 results were released at 2 pm and the class 12 results had come out earlier in the morning.
Girls performed better than boys by 1.41 percent in class 10 exams and 3.29 percent in the class 12 exams.
"Congratulations to all my young friends who passed the CBSE Class XII exams. The grit and dedication of these youngsters is commendable," Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier wrote on Twitter.

As many as 33,432 students have scored above 95 percent in the class 12 examinations

Girls have performed better than boys by 3.29 percent. While the pass percentage of girls is 94.54 percent, the pass percentage for boys is 91.25 percent.
The pass percentage for overall Delhi region is 96.29 percent.
The highest pass percentage was recorded in Kerala's Trivandrum at 98.83 percent.
33,432 students have scored above 95 percent in their board exams.
This year, the board will issue merit certificates to the 0.1 percent students who have scored the highest marks in various subjects.
However, no merit list will be released by the CBSE this year, in order to avoid unhealthy competition.
Transgender students have recorded a pass percentage of 100 percent.
For theory papers, 30 percent weightage has been given to first term marks, while 70 percent weightage has been given to second term marks.
"For practical papers, equal weightage has been given to both terms,” a board official said.
Results of the CBSE Class 10 board exams are expected to be released at 2 pm today.
In addition to the official websites, the scorecards of the students will also be available on results.gov.in and digilocker.gov.in.
The CBSE Class 12 pass percentage in 2022 stands at 92.71, a huge improvement since 2020 (88.78%). In 2021, as many as 99.37% students passed Class 12, but without writing board exams.

While the highest pass percentage was recorded in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram at 98.83 percent, Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj has performed the worst, with a pass percentage of 83.71 percent.

Tanya Singh, a student of Bulandshahr, UP, has topped the CBSE board by scoring a full 100 marks in five subjects.
Singh studied at DPS School, Bulandshahr.
"Congratulations to all my young friends who passed the CBSE Class XII exams. The grit and dedication of these youngsters is commendable. They prepared for these exams through a time when humanity faced a monumental challenge and achieved this success," Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on Twitter.
"Some students may not be happy with their results but they must know that one exam will never define who they are. I am certain they will find more success in the times to come," he said in another tweet.

CBSE class 10 board exams for the 2022-23 academic session will begin from February 15, 2023.
CBSE will issue merit certificates to 0.1 percent students who scored the highest marks in subjects in class 10 and12 board examinations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated those who passed the CBSE Class 10 board exams.
"I wish them a fruitful academic journey ahead. I am certain these youngsters will scale new heights of success in the coming times," he tweeted.
Divya Namdev, a student of Shamli, UP, has topped the CBSE class 10 boards by scoring 100 percent.
"I owe this to my parents and teachers. I studied 7 to 8 hours every day. I thoroughly read the books, and understood all the concepts well," she told news agency ANI.
In CBSE-affiliated schools abroad, 97.29 percent students passed class 10 board exams, compared to 99.92 percent in 2021 and 98.67 percent in 2020.
Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur congratulated "all students who passed the CBSE examination and got their results."
"A new chapter and thrilling challenges await you; filled with learning and exploring opportunities. Best wishes to my young friends on this new journey! Well Done," he tweeted.
