Bihar Board Class 12 Results Out: Toppers and Pass Percentage

Bihar Board Class 12 Board Results Declared

The results of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Class 12 examinations were declared on Wednesday, 6 June, on the board’s official website, biharboard.ac.in.

The BSEB conducted the examinations for the academic year 2017-18 from 6-16 February. Practical examinations were held from 11-25 January. Earlier, the Bihar Board result for Class 12 were scheduled to be announced on 7 June, but as the admissions for the University of Delhi begin from 7 June, the results were released a day before.

Here’s the list of toppers and the pass percentage of the BSEB Class 12 results:

List of Toppers from Science Stream:

• First position: Kalpana Kumari with 434 marks out of 500
• Second position: Abhinav Adarsh with 421 marks
• Third position: Rudresh Raj Verma with 420 marks
• Fourth position: Rishu Raj and Satish Dhawangot with 415 marks
• Fifth position: Martand Prakash, Rishi Raj and Aditi Arya with 414 marks
• Sixth position: Gaurav Prakaash with 413 marks
• Seventh position: Vivek Kumar Gupta, Mansi Jaiswal and Priyanka Kumari with 412 marks.

• Nidhi has topped in the Commerce stream with 434 marks.

List of Toppers from Arts Stream:

• Rank 1: Kusum Kumari (Simultala Awasiya Vidhyalaya Simultala, Jamui) 424 marks
• Rank 2: Priyangi Mehta (Sri Arvind Mahila College, Patna) 422 marks
• Rank 3: Pragya Pranjal (Simultala Awasiya Vidhyalaya, Simultala, Jamui) 419 marks
• Rank 4: Ritika Kumari (Rajkiyakrit SS School, Saran) 417 marks
• Rank 5: Pooja Kumari (Simultala Awasiya Vidhyalayam, Simultala, Jamui) 416 marks

The toppers will be given a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each, along with a laptop and a Kindle e-reader. The second and third topper will get a cash prize of Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 each and the fourth and fifth rank holder from each stream will get Rs 15,000 and a laptop each.

Pass Percentage of Bihar Board Class 12 Results

The pass percentage for Bihar Board Class12 exams stands at 45 percent for Science, 82 percent for Commerce and 42 percent for Arts stream. Nearly 12,07,986 students appeared for the Class 12 exams at 1,384 centres across the state this year.

In 2017, the pass percentage for Class 12 exams of the Bihar Board was a very low 35.25. Last year, 12.4 lakh students appeared for the Bihar intermediate exams, while in 2016, 11.5 lakh students wrote the Bihar Class 12 exams.
