Gurgaon police has arrested six bouncers and a manager of a Gurgaon club after a complaint was registered by the manager of a multinational company, alleging that the bouncers beat him and his friends after they confronted one of them for touching his female friend inappropriately.
The police said that seven of the accused have been arrested, including the club manager and six bouncers – Sonu, Mandeep, Sumit, Nitin, Ram Singh, and Rakesh, reported The Indian Express.
The accused have been arrested under sections 147 (riot), 149 (unlawful assembly), 323 (causing hurt), 354-A (molestation), 379-A (snatching), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Udyog Vihar police station.
The incident occurred around 2 am on Monday, 8 August, at Udyog Vihar-based Casa Danza club. As per the complainant, the bouncers of the club misbehaved with his female friend and touched her inappropriately while she was standing in the entry line, adding that when she objected, other bouncers and managers gathered there and started abusing her.
"As we all protested, eight bouncers took us to the road, pushing us from the gate and thrashed us. We were injured in the attack. The managers of the club also threatened to kill us if we visited the club again," he added.
The whole incident was recorded and shared on social media by a passer-by, reported news agency PTI.
The complainant also alleged that the bouncers snatched a smartwatch and around Rs 12,000 cash.
