Stocks of drugmaker Lupin gained over 2 per cent on Monday as the company is set to replace private power producer Tata Power in the benchmark Sensex.
The scrip rose 2.32 per cent to Rs 1,776 on BSE.
On NSE, it went up 2.29 per cent to Rs 1,775.
On the other hand, shares of Tata Power fell 1.32 per cent to Rs 74.75 on BSE.
The reconstitution in BSE indices will be effective June 22, the exchange had said in a statement on Friday.
Besides, Adani Power will be dropped from the BSE 100 index while various changes have been made to a host of other BSE indices as well.
In the stock market, the BSE 30-share Sensex was trading at 27,821.18, down 136.32 points.
