India's retail inflation stood at 2.86 percent in March, higher than previous month's 2.57 percent, while, the country's index of Industrial production (IIP), also referred as factory output was seen at 0.1 percent in February, lower than previous month's 1.7 percent.
According the data was that was released the government on Friday, 12 April, India's retail inflation saw a marginal rise on the account of increase in prices of food articles and fuel.
As per a PTI report citing data released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO), the agency showed that inflation in food basket rose to 0.3 percent in March from (-) 0.66 percent in the previous month.
