Two top executives, including Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the cash-strapped and grounded carrier Jet Airways, tendered their resignations from their posts on Tuesday, 14 May, citing ‘personal reasons’.

While CEO Vinay Dube resigned after the market hours on Tuesday, earlier in the morning Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Amit Agarwal, who was also the Deputy CEO of Jet Airways, has tendered his resignation.

"We wish to inform that Vinay Dube, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has resigned from services of the company with immediate effect due to personal reasons," Jet Airways said in a regulatory filing.

Before joining Jet Airways as CEO in August 2017, Dube had served in various roles at Delta Airlines, Sabre Inc and American Airlines in the US, Europe and Asia.

Moreover, hours after their resignation, company secretary and compliance officer, Kuldeep Sharma also announced his departure.

Jet Airways seized its operations temporarily around mid- April after struggling for months with acute liquidity crisis.

Shares of Jet Airways plunged 7.42 percent on Tuesday to close at Rs 129.10 on the BSE.
