Delhi: Five Arrested Following Exchange of Fire

Five people have been arrested following an exchange of fire in Shakarpur area of Delhi. Two of them are from Punjab, three are from Kashmir, DCP Special Cell Pramod Kushwaha told the ANI.

Weapons and other incriminating material were also recovered from the accused people.

According to ANI report, the group was backed by ISI for Narcoterrorism. The name of the terror organisation is yet to be confirmed.

Solan: Fire Breaks Out Baddi Industrial Area, One Person Injured

A fire broke out at a factory in Baddi industrial area of Solan district in Himachal Pradesh early morning today. "One person sustained injuries in the fire which has now been doused off. An investigation will be conducted to ascertain the cause of fire," ANI quoted SP Rohit Malpani as saying.

PM Modi Speaks to French President Macron; Discusses Terrorism, COVID-19

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday, expressing his condolences over the recent terror attacks in France, and reiterating India’s support in the fight against terrorism, extremism and radicalism, the PMO said.

“The leaders also discussed other bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest, including improving affordability and accessibility of COVID-19 vaccines, post-COVID economic recovery, cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, maritime security, defence cooperation and climate change,” the PMO added.
