India on Wednesday, 3 June, crossed the 2 lakh-mark in its coronavirus tally. According to the Union Health Ministry data, a total of 2,07,615 COVID-19 cases have been reported in the country till now, with 8,909 new infections in the last 24 hours and death toll standing at 5,815. As many as 1,00,302 patients have recovered, while the number of active cases stands at 1,01,497.
With domestic flights having resumed on 25 May, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Wednesday said the government “will consider restarting international flights as soon as (the) situation normalises a bit and poses no danger” to the citizens.
“We will also have to consider that countries where we intend to fly are open to incoming foreign citizens,” he added.
“Mumbai COVID-19 cases rise by 1,276 to 43,262; fatalities up by 49 to 1,417,” said Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, reports ANI.
“All asymptomatic passengers who enter in Delhi shall home quarantine themselves for seven days,” the Delhi Disaster Management Authority said, reports ANI.
Maharashtra Health Department said, “2,560 more COVID-19 cases and 122 deaths reported in Maharashtra today. The total number of cases in the state is now at 74,860, including 2,587 deaths. 32,329 patients recovered so far.”
Delhi health Department said, “1,513 COVID-19 cases and nine deaths reported in Delhi today. Total number of cases in the national capital is now at 23,645, including 13,497 active cases and 606 deaths.”
As many as 82 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Kerala on Wednesday, taking the tally in the state to 1,494, including 632 active cases.
Out of these new cases, 53 had returned from abroad and 19 from other states, CM Pinarayi Vijayan said.
Tamil Nadu on Wednesday reported 1,286 new coronavirus cases, the highest single-day spike till now, pushing the tally in the state to 25,872, reported PTI.
Eleven more deaths have taken the death toll to 208.

He also announced the third phase of the Vande Bharat Mission to repatriate Indian nationals stranded abroad, saying “these flights will also carry outbound passengers to countries which have no restrictions on taking them in.”
Operation of 'shramik' special trains from Delhi has ended as there has been no new demand from the government, officials were quoted by PTI as saying on Wednesday.
A total of 242 trains have originated from railway stations in Delhi since 1 May – 101 of them went to Uttar Pradesh, while 111 terminated in Bihar, they said, adding that these trains will be run again if fresh demands come from the Delhi government.
The last three such trains from Delhi operated on 31 May.
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Uttarakhand now stands at 1066 including 795 active cases and 259 recovered, reported ANI, quoting the State Health Department.
Delhi Government constitutes a 5-member committee of doctors, to make a report on the situation of hospitals in the national capital, availability of medical facilities and also on providing medical aid to patients from outside Delhi.
Rajasthan reports 102 new COVID-19 positive cases, taking the total number of cases to 9,475. Number of active cases stand at 2,766 and death toll is at 203.

Two persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Kinnaur district, ANI reported quoting Sonam Negi, the Chief Medical Officer of Kinnaur.
The total number of cases in Himachal Pradesh rose to 247, of which 202 were active cases, he said.
